By moving and building new permices in 2009 Dimitar Blagoev Printing House engaged into following a policy of sustainable developement and responsibility for the Environment. Our commitments are to achieve decrease in used natural resources, separation and recycling of production waste, as well as decrease in waste quantities on yearly basis. In order to achieve our commitments we accepted and we do follow 5 year program for sustainable development.

Now we are a part of the Green Circle of the Bulgarian Companies, created by Manager magazine and Globul. Part of this circle become companies who believe in the green idea and follow green policies, companies who take responsibility for the Environment.

Our commitments are as follows:

·         We shall reduce our usage of energy produced from non-renewable resources. Thus heating and air conditioning of our company is performed by a system ot thermal pumps and own water source.

·         We engage in achieving best quality of air in our production premises. The exhaustion of the paper waste, including paper dust is organized through a centralized pipe system. The system works with compressed oxygen.

·         We shell reduce our production waste. We separate 8 types of waste, amongst which paper, plastic, aluminum, used oils, etc. We transport the separated waste directly to recycling companies whit which we have contacts.

·         With care for the future of Nature we initiated a Environmental awareness program. We offer to publishers a list of materials produced by bio energy, recycling and alternative methods. 3% of the price from all products produced by these materials are included in our ECO- fund. All money will be used to plant trees together with our clients.

·         We engage in reducing transport expenses for us and our clients. We offer more and more on-line services, allowing our clients to have control over the quality of the production without coming into our office. We also offer storage and distribution directly from the biggest Book selling warehouse in Bulgaria- Knijna borsa ISKAR.

·         We engage in raising popularity of e-book publishing amongst Bulgarian publishers. We believe e-book publishing is one of the future perspectives for greener publishing. We have founded BGkniga Plc. - company focused on developing and serving the e-book market in Bulgaria.
